1) MIXING - High purity metal powders are carefully
weighed and thoroughly mixed into homogeneous blending of correct proportions
2) COMPACTING - The blended powders are then fed into precision dies and
compressed by a lower and upper punch into desired shape and size. Pressures exerted
range from 15 to 50 tons per square inch.
3) SINTERING - At 770c to 1150c from 30 minutes to 2 hours controlled
atmosphere furnaces transforms briquettes into strong units
4) SIZING - sizing or coining consists of pressing the sintered parts in
accurate dies to obtain precision finish dimensions, higher densities and smoother surface
finishes.
5) OIL IMPREGNATION - Oilless B/R units are vacuum-impregnated to attain
complete saturation, using the highest-quality lubricants.
6) INSPECTION - Careful quality control procedures are employed
throughout in each process by critical inspection
