More Information on Sintered Vents

Applications

  1. Venting in permanent mold casting

Sinter vents with 0.3 or 0.5mm pore diameter has been widely used for venting system in permanent
    mold casting of aluminum alloys.

    Venting efficiency increases significantly.
With its porosity rate 4-30 times higher than conventional vents, small Sintered Vents can do the big job.

    Productivity is improved greatly.
Fast and easy exchange of vents and easy cleaning of molding dies improve productivity of casting.
Vents of 0.5mm pore diameter for larger parts and 0.3mmpore diameter for smaller ones are available
    as the standards.
Sintered Vents assures the sound castings which are free from the "mis-runs" and the "cold shuts."
The major auto-makers all over the world have been using Sintered Vents for their venting system.

  2. Venting in injection molding

Sintered Vent with very fine pores has been successfully used for venting system in plastic molding
Isolated and straight pores, 0.05mm in diameter, and large enough to allow the escape of air and
volatiles, and are small enough to prevent the passage of plastic melt.
    1. Sintered Vents are easy to install where it will be needed.
    2. Venting capacity of the mold can be changed to meet your requirements.
    3. The location of weld line can be adjusted to some extent.
    4. Shorter shot cycle and greater productivity will be expected.

Sintered Vents assure the plastic injection parts are free from the "gas burn" and the "shorts."

Sintered Vents with 0.300.5mm pore diameter is also being used for venting system in blow molding of plastic container to shorten shot cycle and reduce the molding defects.
