Air
Bearings

The operating principle of Air Bearings
  • The air bearing is a kind of slide bearing to support the load by air film in the gap between shaft and bearing and this air film is supplied by compressed air from the outer of the bearing to the inner of bearing.
This air bearing is suitable to high speed with uncontacted low friction and has various merits in the application of super-precision machine work and super-precision movement with high speed rotation by balance effect of air film.
